Tales of the Colorado

Three Captivating River Legends from the Depths of the Grand Canyon.

The story of the Colorado River did not begin with Major John Wesley Powell's 1869 voyage; nor did it end there...

Join us for an evening with Brad Dimock, a Colorado River boatman for over three decades, as he tells the river's tales as only someone who has stood around a thousand campfires can.

Dimick's research is meticulous; his breadth of field remarkable. His works Sunk Without a Sound and The Doing of the Thing each won the National Outdoor Book Award. His newest work, The Very Hard Way, is a definitive work on Bert Loper and the world of river running. Dimick's works will be available for purchase and signing by the author.

Tresspass: Living at the Edge of the Promised Land

Join local author Amy Irvine as she reads from her brand new book Trespass: Living at the Edge of the Promised Land, the story of one woman's struggle to gain footing in inhospitable territory.

A wilderness activist and apostate Mormon, Irvine sought respite in the desert outback of southern Utah's red-rock country after her father's suicide, only to find out just how much of an interloper she was among her own people. More than simply an exploration of personal loss, Trespass is an elegy for a dying world; for the ruin of one of our most beloved and unique desert landscapes and for our vanishing connection to it.

First edition, hardcover copies of Trespass will be available for purchase and signing by the author.
